The Jaipur Metro Phase-II (MRTS) project will extend the metro network by approximately 43 km at an estimated cost of ₹12,000 crore. The corridor aims to enhance connectivity between Mansarovar and the southern industrial areas, including Sitapura Industrial Area and Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre (JECC)—two of the city’s fastest-growing economic and institutional zones.
The first civil construction phase, under this newly issued tender, covers an 11-km elevated stretch from Prahladpura to Pinjrapole Gaushala and includes ten stations. Phase-II is expected to be executed in seven to eight civil packages over the coming years.
In a move aimed at ensuring world-class quality and timely execution, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has been appointed as the General Consultant for Jaipur Metro Phase-II. DMRC’s involvement brings technical expertise, project management excellence, and design oversight—factors that have contributed to the success of metro systems across India.
Adding to this initiative, an 11-day Europe Exposure Visit, sponsored by DMRC, is planned for RMRC and state officials to study global best practices in metro design, operations, and management.
According to sources, the foundation stone of Jaipur Metro Phase-II is likely to be laid on the second anniversary of the Bhajanlal Sharma government, underscoring the state’s commitment to infrastructure expansion and urban mobility transformation.
So far, Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC) has floated tenders worth approximately ₹1,200 crore, signaling strong intent to fast-track construction activities and achieve early commissioning of key sections.
