Indore, India Metro Rail Today): In a major step forward for Indore's metro rail network, Hindustan Construction Company Limited (HCC) and Tata Projects Limited (TPL) have secured a significant ₹2,191 crore contract to construct an 8.65 km underground corridor as part of the Indore Metro Rail Phase 1 project. The announcement was made in a regulatory filing on March 17, 2025.
Under the contract, designated as Package IN-05R, HCC holds a 55% stake, valued at approximately ₹1,205 crore. This crucial underground segment will be the only one in the entire 31.32 km Indore Metro Phase 1 project.
