Jaipur, India (Metro Rail Today): Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Limited (JMRC) has invited a global tender notice inviting Expression of Interest (EOI) for the implementation of QR Ticketing, EMV enabled account-based Ticketing (Master/VISA) and Rupay based Open Loop Ticketing (National Common Mobility Card) for Phase 1 stations of Jaipur Metro Rail Project.
The main purpose of EOI is to solicit and examine the response of the financial institutions / Banks along with firms/companies/entities that are capable of upgrading the automatic fare collection (AFC) system and provide comprehensive on-site maintenance of supplied equipment/parts.
JMRC has its own Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system made by two vendors - M/s Samsung SDS South Korea and M/s S Traffic South Korea for Jaipur Metro's Phase 1A and Phase 1B respectively with the same technology. AFC System is capable to process Fare Media which includes contactless smart cards (CSC) of Mifare Disfire EV1/Sony Felica Technology, contactless smart tokens, of Mifare Ultralite & NFC. All fare media have compliance with ISO 14443 Type A/B or equivalent standards.
AFC system installed in Jaipur Metro has Central Level Servers at Operations Control Centre (OCC), Station Level Servers and Equipment at each station.
Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC) currently operates the Jaipur metro rail network comprising 11 stations from Mansarovar to Badi Chaupar. The first operations begin on 3rd June 2015.
