Bhopal, India (Metro Rail Today): Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL) is the only bidder that submitted its bid for the supply of UIC 60 E1 Profile 880 Grade Rails Class A 1305 MT for Bhopal and 1260 MT for Indore for Bhopal Metro Rail Project and Indore Metro Rail Projects.
Tender notice for the above work was invited under contract package BHIN03A in February 2022 with 728 days deadline by the Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (MPMRCL). The technical bid was opened on July 1, 2022.

In June 2022, MPMRCL received only 2 bids from Voestalpine VAE VKN India and Vossloh Cogifer for the supply of turnouts (contract package BHIN03C) for Bhopal and Indore Metro Rail Projects.
The Madhya Pradesh Government is planning to open at least one section of the Bhopal Metro Rail project before the assembly elections in the state which are scheduled for next year.
