Indore, India (Metro Rail Today): The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) today opened the financial bids for civil contract package IN-07 for the construction of Gandhinagar metro depot for Indore Metro Rail Project.
As per the result announced, Lucknow-based construction firm KSM Bashir Mohammad and Sons emerged as the lowest bidder by beating other 15 bidders participated in the contract process. The financial positions of six qualified bidders are as under:-

Tender for the contract package IN-07 was invited in September 2021 with an estimated cost of work of Rs 283.65 crore. Technical bids were opened in November 2021. A total of 16 firms were participated in this contract package.
The scope of work includes Construction of Rolling Stock Depot cum Workshop at Gandhi Nagar for Indore Metro Rail Project. The work is to be completed in 3 years from the date of issuance of Letter of Acceptance to the contractor.
The Gandhinagar depot will feed trains for 33.53-km long Yellow Line of Indore Metro which will form a ring line around Indore city connecting Palasia – Railway Station – Rajwara- Airport – Bhawarsala through 30 elevated metro stations. Initially, this depot will be used for stabling 25 train-sets of 3 coaches.
The KSM Basir Mohammad & Sons has recently completed the construction work of Polytechnic Depot of Kanpur Metro Rail Project which was commissioned on December 28, 2021.
