An experienced officer from the Indian Railways Service of Engineers (IRSE), Dhankher's career spans over three decades, with extensive expertise in project management, planning, and execution.

Rajiv Dhankher is an alumnus of two of India’s most prestigious institutions. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, and a Masters of Technology from IIT, Delhi. Additionally, he possesses a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurugram, and an LLB from Delhi University. This impressive academic background has equipped him with a robust foundation for his illustrious career in the railway sector.

Prior to his new role at DMRC, Dhankher served as the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) in the Ajmer Division of Indian Railways. His tenure there was marked by significant achievements, including the commissioning of the Udaipur-Himmat Nagar Railway section. This project was a testament to his ability to oversee complex railway projects and deliver results efficiently.

Throughout his career, Dhankher has held several key positions that have significantly impacted India’s railway infrastructure. As the Chief Project Manager in the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), he managed the Sahibabad-Ghaziabad-Duhai priority section.
