Metro Rail Transit Line (MRT-7): A New Way Forward for the North
The Riyadh Metro, an ambitious and extensive public transportation project, is expected to commence operations later this year, marking a significant milestone in the development of Saudi Arabia's capital. This state-of-the-art metro system will feature a six-line network, covering a total of 176 kilometers and connecting 84 stations across Riyadh.
The Riyadh Metro is designed to serve the city’s densely populated areas with a fleet of electric trains. The network aims to address traffic congestion, lower carbon emissions, and enhance the public transport experience for residents. Additionally, all metro stations are set to be powered by renewable energy, aligning with the city's sustainability goals.

The Riyadh Metro consists of the following six lines:
Blue Line: This line will run along the axis of Al-Olaya, Al-Batha, and Al-Hayer roads, with a total length of 38 kilometers.
Red Line: Covering 25.3 kilometers, this line will traverse King Abdullah Road.
Orange Line: Stretching 40.7 kilometers, the Orange Line will connect Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah Road with Prince Saad Bin Abdurrahman I Road.
Yellow Line: With a length of 29.6 kilometers, this line will run along King Khalid International Airport Road.
Green Line: This line will cover 12.9 kilometers along King Abdulaziz Road.
Violet Line: Running 30 kilometers, the Violet Line will connect Abdurrahman Bin Awf Road with Sheikh Hassan Bin Hussain Bin Ali Road.
