This milestone comes after the recent opening of technical bids, marking a crucial step forward in the ambitious initiatives.

The selected DDC contractor will play a pivotal role in generating and presenting alternative designs for electrical and mechanical works, contributing to the overall success and efficiency of both metro projects.
The scope outlined by MPMRCL for the DDC BH-IN-21 involves the detailed design consultancy for electrical and mechanical works related to the upcoming nine underground and twenty-four elevated stations of both Bhopal and Indore Metro projects. The estimated value of the contract stands at Rs. 15.07 crores, with a projected duration of 4.4 years.
Currently, the bids are undergoing rigorous technical evaluation. Once this phase concludes, the financial bids of the technically qualified participants will be unveiled, determining the lowest bidder and potential consultant for the project.
This development follows MPMRCL's previous experience in receiving five bids for the Design Verification Engineer (DVE) contract concerning 33 stations back in November 2023. The subsequent announcement of the lowest bidders for specific metro packages in December showcased the steady progress of these crucial transportation initiatives.
As technical bid evaluations continue, stakeholders eagerly await the revelation of the final selected bidder for the DDC BH-IN-21 contract. Additionally, attention is drawn to the pending tender notice for the underground package IN-05 of the Indore Metro, further extending the network and connecting key locations.
The ongoing developments emphasize the commitment of Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Co Limited towards creating an advanced and efficient metro network in Bhopal and Indore, catering to the growing transportation needs of the regions.
The competitive bidding process for the Detailed Design Consultancy contract BH-IN-21 signifies a key advancement in the Bhopal and Indore Metro projects. With six reputable firms in the running, the stage is set for a transformation in the metro landscape of Madhya Pradesh. As technical evaluations progress, the anticipation builds, heralding a new era of modern and well-planned metro connectivity for the cities of Bhopal and Indore.
