Pune, India (Metro Rail Today): Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha-Metro) has issued a tender inviting bids for Detailed Design Consultancy (DDC) Services for 14 elevated stations along Line 5 of the Pune Metro Phase 2 project. The corridor, spanning 25.518 km, will connect Khadakwasla, Swargate, Hadapsar, and Kharadi through 22 strategically located stations.
The tender, identified as P2-DDC03/2025 (NCB), was officially invited for bids on May 23, 2025, and will close on June 17, 2025. Interested bidders are required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹1,85,500. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 6, 2025, to clarify any queries from prospective participants.
The contract duration is 48 months, and the scope of work includes the preparation of detailed design consultancy services for the following 14 elevated stations:

This consultancy assignment forms a critical component of Pune Metro Phase 2’s Line 5, also known as the Kharadi–Khadakwasla corridor. The DDC contract excludes the viaduct portion within the station areas, focusing solely on the architectural, structural, and electromechanical design of the stations.
Once completed, the new metro line is expected to significantly improve urban connectivity across Pune’s growing residential and commercial zones, particularly benefiting transit flows in and out of central Pune, Magarpatta, Hadapsar, and Kharadi IT hubs.
The Pune Metro Phase 2 expansion reflects the city’s ongoing investment in sustainable urban mobility and its ambition to become a leading smart city.
