TuTr Hyperloop to present future of Ultra-Speed Hyperloop Technology at RailTrans Expo 2024

New Delhi, India (Metro Rail Today): Urban Infra Group is set to spotlight cutting-edge Hyperloop technology at the upcoming 2nd RailTrans Expo 2024, a key segment of the 4th Urban Infra Business Summit & Awards 2024. Scheduled for October 15-16, 2024, at the Hyatt Centric, Janakpuri West, New Delhi, this event will feature a significant session led by TuTr Hyperloop, a pioneering startup incubated at IIT Madras.

A Session on Hyperloop's Role in India's Future

The highlight of the event will be a presentation by Mr. Aditya Khakse, Business Lead at TuTr Hyperloop. His session, titled "Viksit Bharat 2024 - The Constructive Role of Hyperloop Transportation Systems in Shaping India," aims to provide attendees with valuable insights into the advancements in Hyperloop technology and its transformative potential for India's transportation landscape.

Mr. Khakse is not only passionate about innovative transportation solutions but is also spearheading the development of Hyperloop technology at IIT Madras. His extensive experience in project management and strategic leadership positions him as a key figure in the ongoing evolution of ultra-speed transportation systems in India.

Collaboration and Innovation at IIT Madras

At IIT Madras, Mr. Khakse oversees the Business Development Vertical of the Hyperloop Team. His responsibilities include leading a dynamic team that is developing Asia's first full tech stack Hyperloop pod. Approximately 450 meters of sub-scale Hyperloop tube infrastructure facility is being built by IIT Madras with support from Indian Railways and other industry partners. This ambitious project is being executed in collaboration with Indian Railways and various industry partners, ensuring that the technology is rooted in practical application and scalability.

Founded at IIT Madras, TuTr Hyperloop Private Limited is at the forefront of developing ultra-high-speed ground transportation systems designed to operate in reduced-pressure environments. These systems address various transportation needs, from passenger travel to cargo movement, significantly enhancing efficiency in logistics.

Currently, TuTr Hyperloop is constructing India's and Asia's first Hyperloop test track at IIT Madras' Discovery Campus in Thaiyur. This groundbreaking initiative is facilitated by L&T Construction and supported by ArcelorMittal and Indian Railways. The company aims to leverage its extensive partnerships and its position within India's largest deep tech ecosystem to make Hyperloop technology both affordable and accessible.

Innovative Prototype: Garuda Vahaan

A key highlight of TuTr Hyperloop's presentation will be the Garuda Vahaan, the prototype of their Hyperloop vehicle. Named after the mythical falcon, which symbolizes speed and power, this innovative vehicle boasts a maximum speed capability of 150 km/h and operates on a standard 650V power train. Weighing in at 1.2 tons, the Garuda Vahaan employs magnetic levitation technology and features both pneumatic and hydraulic emergency brakes for enhanced safety.

Its aerodynamic shell design, optimized through computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis, significantly reduces drag, allowing for smoother and faster travel.
