Mumbai, India (Metro Rail Today): The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has re-issued a global tender notice for the selection of General Consultants for the upcoming Mumbai Metro Line 10 (Gaimukh – Shivaji Chowk) and Line 12 (Kalyan- Taloja) of the Mumbai Metro Rail Project.

Contract GC-07A: Appointment of General Consultant for Civil and System works of Mumbai Metro Line 10 Gaimukh – Shivaji Chowk (Mira Road) and Mumbai Metro Line 12 Kalyan- Taloja of Mumbai Metro Rail Project of MMRDA, Mumbai.

The 9.2 km long Metro Line 10 of Mumbai Metro is an extension of Line 4/4A (Green Line) which will connect Gaimukh in Thane to Shivaji Chowk (Mira Road) with five stations at Gaimukh, Gaimukh Reti Bandar, Varsova Char Phata, Kashimira and Shivaji Chowk. The estimated cost of this line is Rs 4,476 crores. This line will also connect Borivali, Mira-Bhayander, Thane, and the rest of Mumbai.
The 20.75 km long Metro Line 12 of Mumbai Metro is an extension of Line 5 (Orange Line) which will connect Kalyan APMC to Taloja with 18 stations at Kalyan APMC, Ganesh Nagar (Kalyan), Pisavali Gaon, Golavali, Dombivali MIDC, Sagaon, Sonarpada, Manpada (Dombivali East), Hedutane, Kolegaon, Nilaje Gaon, Vadavali, Bale, Waklan, Turbhe, Pisarve and Taloja. The estimated cost of this line is Rs 5,865 crores.
MMRDA had earlier issued this tender in July 2020 where AECOM was the lowest bidder.
