New Delhi, India (Metro Rail Today): The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) has recently opened the technical bids of the contract package DS-06 launched for providing Train Control & Signalling System for its 23.622 km under-construction Silver Line (Aerocity to Tuglakabad Corridor) under Phase-IV of Delhi Metro Rail Project.
The technical bids were opened in August 2022 and only one bidder Alstom Transport India has submitted their bids to Design, Manufacture, Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of Train control & Signalling System for Aerocity to Tuglakabad Corridor.
Now bids is under consideration of Delhi Metro's Tender Commitee. If they are satisfacied with single bid they may award the contract to Alstom otherwise they may re-invite the fresh bids.
Tender notice for Package DS-06 was issued in February 2022 with a 4 year deadline. This contract package will be funded by Japan International Cooperation Agnecy (JICA).
Tender notice for procurement of 54 Nos. of Standard Gauge Cars (including Comprehensive Maintenance up to Fifteen Years) for Aerocity – Tughlakabad Corridor was already floated in June 2021 where Alstom Transport, BEML Ltd, CAF India, JSC Metrowagonmash and Titagarh Wagons were participated and Alstom has been declared as the lowest bidder.
The 23.622 km Silver line will connect Aerocity to Tughlakabad with 16 stations at Aerocity, Mahipalpur, Vasant Kunj, Kishangarh, Chhatarpur, Chhattarpur Mandir, IGNOU, Neb Sarai, Saket G-Block, Ambedkar Nagar, Khanpur, Sangam Vihar, Maa Anandmayee Marg Junction, Tughlakabad Railway Colony (near Pul Prahaladpur) and Tughlakabad.
