Hyderabad, India (Metro Rail Today): The Hyderabad Airport Metro Limited (HAML) has issued global tender notice for the design and construction of 31-km elevated Hyderabad Airport Express Metro Line between Raidurg to Shamshabad in Hyderabad, Telangana on 15th May 2023.
The scope of work includes Design & Construction of Hyderabad Airport Express Metro Line from Raidurg Metro station to Shamshabad Airport station (31 km) including Elevated Viaduct, 9 (nine) stations, E&M works, Track Works, supply and commissioning of Rolling Stock, Traction & Power Supply, Signaling & Telecommunication, AFC,etc.
The estimated cost of tender is Rs 5,688 crores with 36 months (3 years) work completion deadline.
Interested bidders can purchase tender documents from HAML Office, Metro Rail Bhavan, Begumpet, Hyderabad — 500 003, Telangana between 17th May 2023 to 29th May 2023 on payment of Rs 2,00,000/-.
A pre-bid meeting will be conducted on 14th June 2023 in Hyderabad. The last date for submission of bids is 5th July 2023 by 03.00 PM.
The 31-km Airport Express Line will be constructed along Outer Ring Road (ORR) and will have an elevated viaduct for 28.5 km and underground for 2.5 km at the airport within Hyderabad Aerocity. The metro line will cover the 31-km distance from Gachibowli in the city to RGIA in 20 minutes with trains operating at a maximum speed of 120 kmph. The project is estimated to cost Rs 6,250 crore and will be completed by 2026.
A total of 10 stations (9 elevated & 1 underground) will be built at Mindspace, Raidurg, Biodiversity, Nanakramguda, Narasingi, TSPA Junction, Rajender Nagar, Shamshabad Junction, Airport Cargo and RGIA Terminal (only underground station).
Last month, HAML selected Systra+RITES+DB consortium as the General Consultants (GC) for providing general engineering consultancy services for Hyderabad Airport Metro project.
Hyderabad Airport Metro Limited (HAML) is the special purpose vehicle (SPV) of the Telangana government and a joint venture between Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL), Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) and Telangana State Industrial and Infrastructure Cooperation (TSIIC) formed to build the Airport line under phase 2 of the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project.
