Mumbai, India (Metro Rail Today): In a strategic move to expand its global presence in power electronics and robotics, Hind Rectifiers Limited (Hirect) has announced the acquisition of BeLink Solutions, a French electronics and robotics firm, in a deal valued at €1 million.
The acquisition marks a major step in Hirect’s international growth strategy, strengthening its foothold in Europe and enhancing its expertise in electronics manufacturing services (EMS), robotics, and power electronics — areas crucial to the evolving transportation, industrial, and automation sectors.
Under the agreement, Hirect will acquire BeLink’s production and testing facilities, plant and machinery, intellectual property, technology, customer contracts, and purchase orders.
A total capital infusion of €2 million has been planned to support this acquisition and future growth. Hirect will invest €1 million through preference shares, while an additional €1 million will be raised through equity. Post-investment, Hirect will hold a 66% controlling stake, with promoter group companies subscribing to the remaining 34%.
The transaction will also result in the formation of a new subsidiary to integrate BeLink’s operations into Hirect’s global network.
BeLink Solutions, with nearly four decades of experience, operates six automated production lines and state-of-the-art testing facilities in France. The company is projected to post €13 million in revenue in 2025, with confirmed orders worth €10 million already secured for 2026.
The acquisition provides Hirect with an established European base and access to BeLink’s advanced R&D and manufacturing capabilities in robotics and precision electronics, strengthening the company’s long-term position in international markets.
Commenting on the acquisition, Suramya Nevatia, Chairman, Managing Director, and CEO of Hind Rectifiers Ltd., said:
“It gives us not only a strong base in Europe but also the ability to combine advanced production capabilities with deep R&D in robotics. This is a significant milestone in our journey to evolve into a globally recognized innovation-driven company.”
Offering an industry perspective, Mrs. Mamta Shah, a senior infrastructure and technology analyst, noted:
“Hirect’s acquisition of BeLink Solutions is a strategic step that aligns perfectly with India’s vision of technological self-reliance and global integration. By combining Indian engineering strengths with European automation excellence, this move positions Hirect to play a pivotal role in the next wave of industrial and transport electrification — both in India and abroad.”
Founded in 1958, Hind Rectifiers is a leading manufacturer of traction propulsion systems, power converters, rectifiers, transformers, motors, and HVAC systems for the railway, industrial, and defense sectors.
The company employs nearly 950 people, operates manufacturing facilities in Nashik and Mumbai, and exports its products to over 30 countries. The acquisition of BeLink marks a significant step toward expanding Hirect’s European footprint and diversifying its global supply chain.
With the acquisition of BeLink Solutions, Hind Rectifiers positions itself at the intersection of advanced robotics, power electronics, and smart manufacturing, reinforcing India’s growing influence in the global high-tech engineering landscape.
The integration of BeLink’s technology and European market access is expected to not only boost Hirect’s export potential but also strengthen its contribution to India’s “Make in India, for the World” vision.
