Mumbai, India (Metro Rail Today): The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has issued tedner notice for Detailed Topographical Survey and Geotechnical Investigation Services for Rai Murdhe Depot for Mumbai Metro Line 9 (Dahisar East to Mira Bhayandar).

In a meeting conducted in November 2021, it was sanctioned to cancel the proposed Metro Car Depot for Metro Line 7 on Airports Authority of India land at Dahisar in Mumbai, and to make part changes in the design of the Metro Line 9 to construct Metro Car depot at Rai Murdhe in Bhayandar for Metro Line 7, 7A and 9. The Rai Murdhe Metro depot is proposed behind Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Stadium and it will be one of biggest metro depot of Mumbai Metro Rail Network. Total land area proposed for metro train maintenance facilities is 20.0 Ha.
Mumbai Metro Line 9 is extension of Line 7 (Red Line) from Dahisar East to Mira Bhayandar. Metro line 9 will be unique than other metro lines because there will be double decker bridge. In the first deck there will be flyover and in the second deck metro will run.
