Prashant Mishra has assumed the role of Director Operations at the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRC) today. Prior to joining UPMRC, Mishra served as the Principal Executive Director/Electrical at the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) for over seven years.
During his tenure at NHSRCL, he played a pivotal role in various significant endeavors, including the development of India's first High-Speed Rail (HSR) standards, establishment of project and operations & maintenance (O&M) organizations, and the execution of major electrification contracts for HSR.
An Electrical Engineer from the 1992 batch of the Indian Railway Service (IRSEE), Shri Prashant Mishra boasts over three decades of experience in both national and international projects. During an earlier deputation from the Indian Railways, he successfully led the planning, design, procurement, and execution of a 215 TKM (Track Kilometer) railway electrification stretch in Malaysia as Joint General Manager. Additionally, his professional journey includes roles such as Deputy Chief Electrical Engineer at Kolkata Metro and Director/3 Phase EMU & Metro at RDSO.
Sushil Kumar, Managing Director of UPMRC, extended his congratulations to Shri Prashant Mishra on assuming the position of Director Operations. Kumar expressed confidence that Mishra's vast expertise and extensive experience would prove to be invaluable assets to UPMRC, further bolstering its operations and contributing to the corporation's ongoing success.
