Nagpur, India (Metro Rail Today): 2005-batch Officer of Indian Administartive Services (IAS) from Maharashtra cadre, Shravan P. Hardikar has been appointed as new Managing Director of Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha Metro).
Hardikar takes charge from Dr. Nitin N Karir, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra with effect from 28th July 2023. The post was vacant after superannuation of Dr. Brijesh Dixit in May this year.
Before posting to Maha Metro, Hardikar was working as Additional Commissioner of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mumbai.
Under the leadership of Hardikar, Maha Metro will soon open two remaining stretches of Pune Metro Rail Project to the public.
