Kochi, India (Metro Rail Today): The Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) has opened the techno-commercial bids of General Consultancy contract package of Kochi Metro Rail Project Phase 2 on 23rd March 2023 in Kochi.
As per the financial bids result, the consortium of SYSTRA S.A. – SYSTRA MVA Consulting (India) emerged as the lowest bidder by beating the other seven bidders/consortia. The winner has been selected on the QCBS (Quality and Cost Based Selection) basis with a two stage process.
The technical scores and financial position of each bidder is as under:-
Tender notice for the selection of General Consultant (GC) for Phase- II Corridor from JLN Stadium to Infopark via Kakkanad of Kochi Metro Rail Project was issued in November 2022 with an estimated cost of work Rs 31 crore and 1095 days work completion period. Technical bids were opened in February 2023.
The 11.2 km long Phase 2 Corridor (Pink Line) will connect Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium to Infopark 2 with 11 elevated stations at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Palarivattom Junction, Palarivattom Bypass, Chembumukku, Vazhakkala, Padamughal, Kakkanad Junction, Cochin SEZ (Special Economic Zone), Chittethukara, KINFRA, Infopark 1 / Smart City 1, and Infopark 2 / Smart City 2.
