Kochi, India (Metro Rail Today): The Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) has opened the financial bids of Detailed Design Consultancy (DDC) contract package of station components of Phase 2 of Kochi Metro Rail Project.
As per the financial bids results, Egis India Consulting Engineers Pvt. Ltd. emerged as the lowest bidder among other three bidders. The financial position of each bidder is as under:-
Tender notice for Consultancy Services for the Detailed Design of Station Components for Phase 2 Corridor of Kochi Metro Rail Project in February 2023 with 900 days work completion deadline. Technical bids were opened in March 2023. Apart from above, two other bidders namely AYESA Ingenieria y Arquitectura and TD Engineering & Consulting were also participated in the tender. But they did not qualify the technical terms of the tender.
The all bids have now been sent for the final evaluation. The Consulant firm will have to provide detailed design consultancy services for 11.2 km new elevated corridor (Pink Line) connecting JLN Stadium – Kakkanad – Infopark (Smart City) with 11 stations. The firm will be responsible for producing and proposing alternate designs of all civil, architectural, building services, electrical and mechanical works.
The 11 stations will be constructed at Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium (new station box next to Blue Line), Palarivattom Junction, Palarivattom Bypass, Chembumukku, Vazhakkala, Padamughal, Kakkanad Junction, Cochin SEZ (Special Economic Zone), Chittethukara, KINFRA, and InfoPark / Smart City.
The Info Park Station will also be connected with Kochi Water Metro Project which is slotted to launch to the public on 25th April 2023 by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
