Maha Mumbai Metro Operation bags 'Emerging Metro Operator of the Year' Award 2022

New Delhi, India (Metro Rail Today): Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Ltd. (MMMOCL) has been conferred with "Emerging Metro Operator of the Year" Award in ‘Rail & Metro’ category at the 2nd Urban Infra Business Summit & Awards 2022 held on 7th November 2022 at India International Centre, New Delhi. 

The award was given at a grand ceremony - 2nd Urban Infra Business Summit & Awards 2022 hosted by Urban Infra Group on 7th November 2022 at India International Center, New Delhi, India. The award ceremony was attended by dignitaries from the nodal ministries, government departments, public sector undertakings (PSUs), and industry leaders from the leading multi-national companies (MNCs) engaged in developing major urban infrastructure in India.

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has established the Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited (MMMOCL) on 10th June, 2019 to carry out the “Operations and Maintenance” of all the upcoming Metro corridors in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The idea is to integrate the Operations and Maintenance of all Metro corridors under one authority with objectives as follows:

To independently carry out business of Operation and Maintenance (O&M), and related functions of all Metro lines in Mumbai Metropolitan Region, To carry out Planning, Identification, Development and Implementation of all Non-Fare Box Revenue measures, Execute Property development and construct or maintain or lease out various facilities in relation to rail transport system.
