Gurugram, India (Metro Rail Today): Dilip Buildcon Ltd. has been emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) by Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (HRIDCL) for the New Broad Gauge Double Railway Line project between Prithla and Dhulawat Stations, known as Package C-5, part of the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC).
The bid, valued at ₹1,092 crore, outlines a completion period of three years for the 21-kilometer stretch. Package C-5 entails a comprehensive contract covering various components, including the design and construction of civil works such as earthwork, bridges, stations, and retaining walls. Additionally, it involves the construction of a viaduct and ballastless track, along with the installation, testing, and commissioning of general electrical services.
Initiated in November 2023, the bidding process attracted ten prominent firms competing for the prestigious construction contract, with an estimated total worth of ₹1,180 crore. Among the bidders were well-known names such as APCO Infratech Pvt. Ltd., Ashoka Buildcon Ltd., and Larsen and Toubro Ltd. (L&T), among others. The Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor, a visionary project spanning 121.7 kilometers, aims to introduce the state's first semi-high-speed rail line. Package C-5, a vital segment of this ambitious endeavor, includes the construction of a 3.9-kilometer viaduct alongside the Aravalis, as well as an at-grade section and three key stations: IMT Sohna Station, Silani Station, and New Pirthala Station.
Furthermore, Package C-5 intersects with the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor's (WDFC) Dadri – Rewari section, adding complexity and significance to the construction efforts.
