EPC Leader Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T) joins Chamber of Railway Industries as Corporate Member

New Delhi, India (Rail & Metro Today): The Chamber of Railway Industries (Rail Chamber) has announced the onboarding of Larsen & Toubro Limited (Railway Business Group) as a new Corporate Member, further strengthening the Chamber’s growing industry network and its engagement with leading organisations across India’s railway and urban mobility sector.

The Railway Business Group (RBG) is a specialised division of L&T Construction and a leading engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) system integrator serving the rail transportation industry. With integrated capabilities covering design, engineering, logistics and multidisciplinary project execution, RBG delivers comprehensive “concept to commissioning” solutions across high-speed rail, metro rail, mainline railway and Dedicated Freight Corridor projects.

Extensive Rail Infrastructure Capabilities

L&T Railway Business Group brings extensive expertise across critical railway infrastructure disciplines, including civil structures, bridges, tunnels, ballastless tracks, track construction, railway electrification, traction and power systems, signalling and telecommunications.

Its technical capabilities encompass 25 kV AC and DC overhead electrification, switching stations, SCADA networks, relay and electronic interlocking, train detection and automatic train protection systems. These capabilities position the Group as an integrated partner for complex railway and urban rail infrastructure projects.

RBG is currently contributing to several technologically advanced rail infrastructure programmes in India and international markets. Its portfolio includes work associated with the Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail project, metro rail developments, Dedicated Freight Corridors and international urban rail projects in markets including Jakarta, Dhaka and Mauritius.
