Mumbai, India (Metro Rail Today): The Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA) has opened technical bids for the contract package CA-167 for supply of ballastless tracks for 10.41 kilometres Mumbai Metro Line 9 connecting Dahisar East to Bhayandar on 22nd May 2023 in Mumbai.
As per information shared, a total of five firms have shown their interests to supply the ballastless tracks to MMRDA for under construction Line 9 of Mumbai Metro Rail Project. The name of bidders are as under:-
Tender notice for design, construction, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of ballastless trackwork in mainline from Dahisar East Station to Mira Bhayandar including third track side track and dead end at Dahisar for Corridor 9 of Mumbai Metro Rail Project was issued in April 2023 with an estimatd cost of work of Rs 88.28 crore and 18 months work completion deadline.
Now all bids have been sent for the technical evaluation of all bidders.
The 10.41 km elevated Line 9 of Mumbai Metro will connect Dahisar East to Mira Bhayandar with 9 stations at Pandurang Wadi, Amar Palace, Zankar Company, Sai Baba Nagar, Deepak Hospital, Shahid Bhagat Singh Garden, Subhash Chandra Bose Stadium, MBMC Sports Complex and Indiralok.
The Line 9 is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 6,007 crore.
