Bengaluru, India (Metro Rail Today): Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) invites bids from eligible qualified, reputed and experienced contractors for “Engineering, Supply, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of 33kV Distribution, 750V DC Third Rail Traction Electrification including Traction Substations, Auxiliary Substations and SCADA System for Phase-2A & Phase-2B”.

The International Competitive Bidding (ICB) will be conducted in accordance with the “Single-Stage Two-Envelope” Tendering Procedure.
The Third Rail 750V DC Traction System is a versatile and efficient solution for modern metro railways. Its energy efficiency, simplified infrastructure, rapid acceleration, reduced noise, enhanced safety, low maintenance requirements, and retrofitting potential make it an attractive choice for urban transportation planners. As metro systems continue to evolve, the Third Rail system stands as a testament to innovation and progress in the realm of urban mobility.
Under Phase 2A & 2B of Bangalore Metro Rail Project, the BMRCL is laying 55 km of metro lines from Central Silk Board to Kempegowda International Airport (KIA).
