Bhopal, India (Metro Rail Today): The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) has issued a global tender notice for the first underground tunneling package (BH-04) of Bhopal Metro Rail Project.
The scope of work includes Design & Construction of Twin Tunnel (Up & Down by Shield TBM), Cut & Cover, Cross-passages with/without sump, Ramps, Two (02) Underground Stations (Nandra Bus Stand and Bhopal Railway Station) including Architectural finishing, Water Supply, Sanitary Installation and Drainage works in entire Underground Section (from chainage 28+375 to 31+765) for Bhopal Metro Rail Project.
This contract package is part of 14.99 kilometres Corridor 2 of Bhopal Metro Rail Project connecting Karond Circle to AIIMS with 16 metro stations. Out of, 14 stations will be elevated and remaining two stations will be underground. This is only underground package of the entire corridor 2. The project is being financed by European Investment Bank (EIB).
